The Entry Point iNID enables “always on” connectivity to the premise providing “real time” monitoring and control of all enabled systems. ILECs are well positioned to provide security and monitoring installation and service support because of their highly trained technicians and existing customer support centers. The residential market is projected to reach 9.4 Billion in 2008 and is growing about 9% per year. Average service cost is $20 per month. Most monitoring is provide by a few large companies at about 20-25% of the service cost. This is a high profit value add service that can easily be sold and maintained by the ILEC.
