Fundamentally, our iNID utilizes smart meters with advanced two-way communications to enable utilities to meet their business needs for meter data collection. It empowers ALL their customers to actively and frequently participate in demand response and energy conservation, while supporting movement toward the Smart Grid of the future. Unlike other solutions, the iNID/ILEC solution provides a highly reliable existing Point-to-Point wired infrastructure from the customer premise to the utility Central Office (CO). This service will generate new revenues for the ILEC while increasing service reliability and reducing implementation/operational costs for the utility service provider.
